GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Blizzard-like conditions are likely for West Michigan on Friday afternoon, bringing heavy, wet snow and windy conditions to the region.

Because of this, many schools, businesses, churches and more are canceling activities and events Friday.

Many districts—including Grand Rapids Public Schools, Kelloggsville Public Schools, Kentwood Public Schools, Grand Rapids Child Discovery Center and Grandville Public Schools—announced their closures on Thursday.
