The threat of thunderstorms will diminish by late Wednesday morning, but that doesn't mean we'll be in the clear.
As the initial line of rain moves northeast, a period of quite windy conditions will follow as cooler fills in and the atmosphere attempts to find a balance after a stormy day in the Midwest.
Sustained winds could reach in excess of 30 mph and wind gusts could top out greater than 45 mph. The highest wind gusts have been along the I-96 corridor so far Wednesday, according to National Weather Service reports.
