The big dig is underway, and it could take awhile -- parts of Lower Michigan picked up close to a foot of snow, or more!

Full forecast: 13 On Target Weather

Heavy, wet snow blanketed much of the region for much of the day Wednesday into early Thursday morning. A sampling of the top winners: Dansville at 12.8 inches, Comstock Park at 12 inches and Grand Ledge at 12 inches, according to National Weather Service reports.
