It's no secret that staying active is one of the keys to a long life.
That's why in this week's Senior Wellness, we are exploring a program that increases, not only your physical strength, but mental sharpness as well.
Tai Chi for Health by Dr. Paul Lam is one of the newest healthy aging programs offered by the Area Agency on Aging of Western Michigan.
It is proven to reduce pain and improve mental well-being.
Participants are taught simple, slow, and deliberate movements that are easy to learn and help improve balance, reduce falls, gain strength and increase flexibility.
Classes meet Tuesday and Thursday at Area Agency on Aging of Western Michigan from 9:30 a.m. until 10:15 a.m.
A free class is being held on July 19, 2016 at 9:30a.m. at Area Agency on Aging of Western Michigan (3215 Eaglecrest Drive NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49525).
