GRAND HAVEN, Mich. — Get ready for a scare as downtown Grand Haven transforms for its annual Fall Festival!

This year's event is jam-packed with activities for the whole family—dancing, cookie decorating, trick-or-treating, a temporary tattoo station and more.

Trick-or-treating will be held downtown from 10:30 a.m. until noon during the festival. If that isn't enough for your little ones, there will be more trick-or-treating around Grand Haven on Halloween.

In addition, there are two haunted attractions for your family to visit.

The Tri-Cities Museum will become a haunted museum complete with trick-or-treating, games, crafts and more. Museum staff will be sharing Michigan legends and telling stories about Victorian Halloween traditions to create an immersive experience.

If you're looking for a haunted attraction that brings the scares while still being family-friendly, head over to the Elks Lodge. The lodge will be transformed into a haunted maze full of spooky surprises. The lights will be on, making it the perfect haunted house to walk through with your family.

Finally, the winners of the Bones About Town competition will be announced during the festival. Over 150 five-foot-tall skeletons have been decorated by local business owners for a shot at the top spot. You can still submit your vote for the winner online here. The skeletons will stay up through Halloween if you can't make it to the festival this weekend.

Costumes are encouraged! The festival is Saturday, Oct. 26 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The haunted attractions have their own operation hours. Click here for full details.
