GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — It's the time of year to spruce up your space -- it may have even been a New Year's resolution to "get organized." Now, it's time to get serious about it if you haven't already.
Kate Wert, the owner of Moxie Life Organizing, LLC, joined My West Michigan with tips on how to pretty up the pantry -- making it look good but functional.
You’re not alone
There are plenty of pantry across the country that could use some decluttering. Don't feel bad about needing to get rid of plenty of things you don't use or eat.
Make your pantry work for your family
Organize your pantry and all the items in it so that it works for you and your family. Don't set up a system that you can't stick too.
Placement is everything
Be sure to put frequently grabbed items and foods in places that make sense. The pantry is also a good place for awkward appliances that may not have a home elsewhere in the kitchen.
