#ThirstyThursday: Prohibition-Era Cocktails

We're celebrating the 86th Anniversary of the end of Prohibition with cocktails.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Thursday, Dec. 5 is the 86th anniversary of the end of Prohibition. For many, that means it's time to celebrate some history with drinks of the period -- along with the women who made them!

Nate Blury, owner of Saint Liberty Distillery and Original Tin Cup Co. joined My West Michigan to share some delicious recipes from around town.

"Montana Sour” from OneBourbon, GR

  •  2 oz Birte Brown Bourbon,
  • 1 oz sour mix
  • 1 oz honey simple syrup
  • Topped off with ½ oz Cab Sauvé (floated on the top)

“The Bees Knees”  from New Holland Brewing, Holland

  • 1½ oz Knickerbocker Gin
  • 1 oz honey simple syrup
  • ½ oz lemon juice
  • ½ oz orange juice shaken not stirred
