MUSKEGON, Mich. — The Muskegon Police Department has announced that two people have been charged in the shooting death of 30-year-old Andres Garcia back in October.

Garcia was found shot inside his home on Oct. 28 after police responded to a report of shots fired in the 1000 block of Sophia Street.

Police entered the home and found him injured. Life-saving measures were attempted at the scene, but he died from his injuries on the way to the hospital.

Police said at the time that the shooting did not seem random. Now, they've arrested 44-year-old Robert Pompey Jr. of Lakewood Club and 36-year-old Benjamin Fields of Muskegon Heights and charged the pair with Open Murder.
