HOLLAND, Mich. — Police have identified a suspect in connection to a break-in and theft at a Holland gaming store earlier this month.

The theft happened on Nov. 10 at Super Hideaway Gaming. Police say the front door had been broken and about $15,000 worth of Magic the Gathering and other trading cards were taken from the store.

The same items were stolen from other gaming stores in the area, including one in Grandville. Holland police were unable to specify if the break-ins are connected.

Surveillance camera footage captured the suspect's vehicle, which appeared to be a mid-2000s Ford Focus, and police later tracked that car down.

After obtaining a search warrant, police searched the car and found many of the stolen cards.

Police are submitting the report to the Ottawa County Prosecutor's Office and requesting that charges be filed.

Super Hideaway Gaming owner Aaron Mooneyhan previously spoke with 13 ON YOUR SIDE and said the thefts have been frustrating for local game store owners.

"How can someone just want to just do this to, like, the small local shops and stuff? We're already struggling as it is,” he said.

Mooneyhan said he's working with his insurance to hopefully cover some of the items stolen—but he has had to cancel orders.

He encouraged people to continue to support his and other gaming businesses that have been impacted by the break-ins.

The investigation into these incidents is still ongoing.
