GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — It's finally that time of year! ArtPrize is back in Grand Rapids for its 15th birthday starting this week.

To celebrate its grand return, you can head to a free festival filled with music, food trucks, fireworks and more.

It's all happening Friday, Sept. 13 from 7 to 10 p.m. on the Pearl Street Bridge.

Organizers also promise a "surprise you won't want to miss!"

This year's ArtPrize will feature the works of more than 950 artists from 42 U.S. states and 53 countries in over 170 venues in Grand Rapids.

More than $600,000 in grant money will be awarded to participating artists.

The free art festival is comprised of five different districts: Center City, Northside, Southside, Eastside and Westside.

According to Experience Grand Rapids, this is the largest ArtPrize since 2017.

You can enjoy VIP access to the opening night celebration at Ah-Nab-Awen park from 7 to 10:30 p.m.
