MUSKEGON CHARTER TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Two young women were shot at a graduation party in a veterans hall in Muskegon Township, according to the Muskegon Township Chief of Police, Tim Thielbar.
Dispatch said they received a call around 1:30 a.m. on Sunday stating multiple people had been shot at the Disabled American Veteran's hall on Laketon Drive.
Police said both of the young women's injuries from the shooting are not life-threatening.
Thielbar said they're looking into possible connections to the shooting at the Fruitport Old Fashioned Days Festival.
Police said the Disabled American Veteran's hall is often rented out for events and they've had issues for several months with parties being out of control there.
Eight total police agencies responded to the initial shooting call, along with several fire departments and multiple ambulance companies.
