GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Rockford Construction has announced they will be serving as construction manager for the Amway Soccer Stadium coming to Grand Rapids.
They'll be partnering with AECOM Hunt on the project in what they said is a "joint venture" named Rockford/Hunt.
"The two companies bring a combined wealth of experience and expertise to deliver a state-of-the-art venue that will become a focal point for both the community and the region," read a release from Rockford Construction.
This won't be Rockford Construction's first big project in the city. They also worked on projects such as Studio Park Tower, the Grand Rapids Art Museum, the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel reclad, Acrisure, Perrigo and the JW Marriott. They said they are excited to continue to contribute to Grand Rapids' growing skyline and sports culture with this latest project.
Rockford Construction's partner on the project, AECOM Hunt, brings to the table a history of nation-wide experience constructing sports and entertainment venues. They've managed over 125 stadium projects including Intuit Dome, Lucas Oil Stadium, Mercedes Benz Stadium and SoFi Stadium. They've also worked on local projects like the Van Andel Arena and DeVos Convention Center.

Together, Rockford Construction and AECOM Hunt hope to combine both local knowledge and national expertise to ensure the new stadium will "set new standards in sports and entertainment infrastructure."
