KENTWOOD, Mich. — The former light heavyweight champion accused of assaulting his brother in Kentwood in 2023 had the case against him dismissed.
Jamahal Hill, a Rogers High School grad and former Davenport basketball player, faced an aggravated domestic violence charge stemming from a dustup with his brother on Nov. 27, 2023.
The court clerk said the prosecuting attorney requested the case be dismissed without prejudice. That means the prosecution has the option to re-file charges at a later date.
The fighter most recently faced Alex Pereira for the UFC light heavyweight title, losing to Pereira's left hook on April 13.
Hill agreed to face Khalil Rountree Jr. at UFC 203 in Las Vegas on June 29, ESPN reported.
