GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Charges have been announced in a Grand Rapids shooting that left a mother dead and her two sons injured, according to the Grand Rapids Police Department.
GRPD said Keontae Moore, 33, is charged with open murder, two counts of assault with intent to murder and felony weapons charges in the incident.
Police said he's currently in custody at the Kent County Correctional Facility.
GRPD said on Oct. 24, Tracey Broyles, 55, was killed in a shooting around 6:50 p.m. in the 900 block of Pastiche Drive SE. Two other people were also injured in the shooting.
Broyles was pronounced dead at the scene and the two male victims, her two sons, were taken to a hospital in serious condition. GRPD said the men are recovering from their injuries.
