SAUGATUCK, Mich. — After rallying supporters in Marne this week, JD Vance decided to stick around and enjoy some of pure Michigan.

At his campaign event at the Berlin Raceway on Wednesday, Vance explained how important the Great Lakes state is for this election. He said to expect himself or former President Donald Trump in Michigan "probably every week" until election day.

On Wednesday, the Ohio Senator shared a few photos of himself and his 4-year-old son Vivek on a fishing trip on the Kalamazoo River in Saugatuck.

Vance took a charter boat out on the Kalamazoo River and appeared to catch a few fish.

JD Vance and his wife Usha Chilukuri Vance have three children.

The Kalamazoo River is home to a variety of species, from panfish, smallmouth bass, and trout to salmon and steelhead.
