IN CUSTODY | Man who allegedly shot at someone in Mt. Pleasant arrested

The man, later identified as Leangel Sabatela-Rodriguez, was considered armed and dangerous. His arrest was announced Tuesday morning.

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. — A man accused of shooting at another man in the Mt. Pleasant area has been arrested, according to the Michigan State Police (MSP).

On Monday, MSP alerted homeowners near the Mt. Pleasant Municipal Airport to lock their doors after a man shot at another man and ran away from the area around 12:30 p.m.

Later identified as Leangel Sabatela-Rodriguez, the man was considered armed and dangerous. 

MSP announced his arrest early Tuesday morning.

"Thank you for all of the tips called in and thank you to all of the law enforcement partners who assisted in the search," a post on X reads.
