Suspect charged in fatal Muskegon motorcycle crash had suspended drivers license

The 52-year-old man is being held on an $11,500 bond for driving while suspended and negligent homicide using a vehicle in the wreck that killed a Muskegon father.

MUSKEGON, Mich. — The man accused of crossing the center line and colliding head-on with a motorcyclist Sunday night wasn't supposed to be driving. 

Dane Neino, 52, is charged with two counts of driving while suspended and one count of negligent homicide using a vehicle connected to the crash that claimed the life of 38-year-old Nathan Conrad.

Neino went to the hospital with minor injuries but has since been booked into the Muskegon County Jail. He's being held on an $11,500 bond.

The crash happened Sunday night on Apple Avenue and Roberts Street in Muskegon.

Detectives said that the truck's driver crossed the center line and fatally collided with Conrad. 

Conrad's wife told 13 ON YOUR SIDE he loved to ride his bike and was loved by everyone around him. 

She says he was an amazing husband, father, brother, uncle and friend, and he didn't deserve what happened to him.
