OTSEGO, Mich. — A 24-year-old woman is facing open murder in the killing of an Otsego man at an apartment complex last Friday.
Karleigh Strickfaden is accused of stabbing 51-year-old Leonard Connor to death just before 6 p.m. on Friday, May 10.
The Otsego Police Department along with the Allegan County Sheriff's Department got a call about a possible gunshot wound in the 400 block of Garfield Street.
The 24-year-old woman met them at the apartment complex, and they found Connor had been stabbed. He was bleeding out on the living room floor.
Emergency responders couldn't stop the bleeding, and he died from his injuries.
Just days later on Monday, Strickfaden was arraigned in 57th District Court in front of Magistrate Dan Norbeck.
The judge set her bond at $250,000.
The case remains under investigation.
