LANSING, Mich. — Michigan's highest-ranking election official is explaining the state's new early in-person voting.
Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson is hosting a live stream to explain the new early in-person voting so Michiganders know before they head to the poll.
Residents in Michigan can cast their ballots in person ahead of election day thanks to a constitutional amendment voters passed in 2022 that expanded early voting.
Early voting is available for at least nine consecutive days, ending the Sunday before an election. Local communities can also decide to expand the early voting up to 29 days.
