MICHIGAN, USA — There are just hours left to make your voice heard on Election Day. Here's what you need to know ahead of polls closing.
When do polls close?
All polling locations close in Michigan at 8 p.m. local time.
If polls close when I'm in line, should I leave?
No. Long lines may be a problem at your voting location, especially as Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson says Michigan is on track for record-breaking voter turnout.
This may cause some voters to worry they may not get to cast your ballot before the polls close. But have no fear.
“If you’re in line, stay in line” is the statement all voters should know.
If you are in line by the time polls close at 8 p.m., you still have a legal right to cast your ballot.
You can find your polling location here using your voter information.
