GRAND RAPIDS, Michigan — Grand Rapids is back on an "America's Best" list and this time around, the city is getting a shout out as a great place to visit.
CNN has named Grand Rapids as one of America's Best Towns to Visit in 2024 in its inaugural list of destinations.
The city ranks a solid eighth on the top 10 list, just ahead of Knoxville, TN and behind Macon, GA.
“We are thrilled that CNN selected Grand Rapids as a top American destination—we couldn’t agree more,” said Experience Grand Rapids President and CEO Doug Small. “CNN Travel editors recognized there is something very special about this attractive and extraordinarily hospitable destination and are now telling the world.”
Grand Rapids is no stranger to lists like these, having been named best place to raise a family, one of the best places to live, "Beer City," home to one of the best brunch spots, and many more.
“I am very excited, but frankly not surprised, to learn that Grand Rapids is included on CNN’s inaugural list of America’s Best Towns to Visit,” said Grand Rapids Mayor Rosalynn Bliss. “This adds to our list of national accolades that make us a world-class destination. It’s a tribute to our community and leaders who put their heart and soul in creating unique and exciting attractions, lodging, restaurants, pubs and breweries, and cultural scene."
