Positively Muskegon events to check out this December

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich — If you're looking for things to do in the Muskegon area this December, look no further!

Andy O’Riley from Positively Muskegon gives a rundown of all kinds of events coming to the area that you don’t want to miss!

December 7

The Mona Shores Singing Christmas Tree is SOLD OUT. However, at 7 p.m. on Dec. 7, you can go to muskegonchannel.com to watch the entire show live from the Frauenthal Center.  It’s a spectacular event and the tallest singing Christmas tree in the United States. Last year, muskegonchannel.com went live for the first time ever and had a worldwide audience and they are expecting an even bigger show this year! 

Enjoy the holidays on Lakeside! Lakeside just finished a huge street project and now is the time to head down to get a look at the new streetscape and enjoy some of the fun artisan shops, stop into The Only Cannoli, or Lakeside Emporium

Also, the Marine Tap Room is right there featuring carriage rides, a bake sale, a community tree lighting, and more.

December 14 

The Downtown Muskegon Cookie Crawl starts at 11 a.m. at the Muskegon Farmers Market where you get your first cookie. Then you can head over to Downtown Muskegon to 24 other stops collecting cookies at every all 24 places. You can see unique and fun places to shop, eat and have a drink! You’ll even get a tin at the Farmers Market to collect your cookies.

December 15

Muskegon on Ice Holidays is happening at 3:30 p.m. where local skaters will be at the LC Walker Arena showing off their skills where they have worked all year to bring figure skating to the crowd to enjoy!  It’s also suggested to bring a $5 donation for ice time.

The 5th Annual Giving Back Christmas is happening at 1 p.m. at the Veterans of Foreign War on Apple Ave. This is where Positively Muskegon received it’s major focus.  Andrea Rosema and her friends put together a great Christmas event, open to all ages and kids can do things like, make a card for a soldier, decorate a cookie, and word is that Santa and Mrs. Clause will be there. 

Also there will be chances to help out Kids Food Basket and so much more.

Hackley and Hume Home holiday tours continue all month and the Muskegon Area District library will have multiple visits from Mr. Clause all month long as well, check out their website here for more details.
